Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, is a community-funded nonprofit animal shelter and learning center located in Fairport, NY. It employs over 90 full- and part-time employees with an annual operating budget of over $6 million. Its 140 acre facility shelters a variety of domestic pets and farm animals.


Equine Attendant
Lollypop Farm has a part-time position available as an Equine Attendant. The primary function of the Equine Attendant is to maintain the barn area and horses, care for and rehabilitate the horses at Lollypop Farm; work on improving the animal’s adoptability, and to educate the public on the care of horses.

Humane Education Assistant
Lollypop Farm has a part-time position open as Humane Education Assistant. This is a weekend position (Saturday and/or Sunday) The Humane Education Assistant will prepare and facilitate humane education programs for children and adults. The Humane Education Assistant must be an energetic and highly motivated person who enjoys working with children.

Veterinary Assistant
One full-time position as a Veterinary Assistant is available. The primary function of the Veterinary Assistant is to assist the veterinarians and technicians by facilitating the effective and efficient operation of the clinic for animal treatment and surgery. (Schedule includes regular Saturday work.)

Adoption Counselor
One part-time position is available as an Adoption Counselor. The primary function of the Adoption Counselor is to interface with the public admitting animals and aiding in the adoption process. (Schedule includes a regular Saturday shift.)
