Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, is a community-funded nonprofit animal shelter and learning center located in Fairport, NY. It employs over 90 full- and part-time employees with an annual operating budget of over $6 million. Its 140 acre facility shelters a variety of domestic pets and farm animals.

Kennel Attendant
Lollypop Farm has a full-time opportunity available in our shelter as a Kennel Attendant. The Kennel Attendant is responsible for caring for our shelter dogs throughout the day as well as keeping work areas clean and well stocked. (Must be available to work Saturdays and Sundays regularly.)

Executive Assistant
Lollypop Farm has a full-time opportunity available as Executive Assistant. The primary function of the Executive Assistant is to provide comprehensive administrative support to the President & CEO. Manage calendar, coordinate meetings, events, and travel schedules. Provide support for board and board committee meetings. Coordinate schedule with Development Department for donor meetings and events. Responsible for minutes of all board and committee meetings. Coordinate or assist with board and staff events as needed. (Schedule must be flexible.)

Humane Education Camp Counselor (Seasonal)
Lollypop Farm has two (2) full-time seasonal positions available as Humane Education Camp Counselors. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience with both children and animals. Humane Education Camp Counselors will be responsible for supervising children and managing the daily activities within camp. The job entails but is not limited to implementing humane education lessons, animal interactions, animal related chores, crafts, educational games, and communicating with parents/guardians. Camp Counselors are also responsible for prepping supplies each day and helping to plan educational lessons. (Break camp runs Feb. 21 – Feb. 24 and again April 17 – April 21.)

Crematory/Maintenance Worker
Lollypop Farm has a full-time opportunity available as Crematory/Maintenance Worker. The primary function of the Crematory/Maintenance Staff is cleaning building and grounds; performing grounds and building maintenance; tracking and maintaining inventory of supplies; overseeing all aspects of cremations.

Animal Care Attendant

Equine Attendant
Lollypop Farm has a part-time position available as an Equine Attendant. The primary function of the Equine Attendant is to maintain the barn area and horses, care for and rehabilitate the horses at Lollypop Farm; work on improving the animal’s adoptability, and to educate the public on the care of horses.

One part-time position is available as an Adoption Counselor. The primary function of the Adoption Counselor is to interface with the public admitting animals and aiding in the adoption process. (Schedule includes a regular Saturday shift.)
