We reserve the right to excuse from class or decline entry to any person or dog who presents behavior that may be dangerous or disruptive to class or for any other reason.

Harsh corrections or intimidating training methods will not be tolerated.

Dogs that are aggressive, fearful, or unable to benefit in a class setting may be referred to private training.

Participation in class is at the discretion of the class instructor and refunds will be addressed on a case-by-case basis.

Is your little one a consummate lap dog? Or, really, more of a huge dog in a tiny body? Either way, small dogs need to learn etiquette, too! Because of their manageable size, small-dog guardians often choose to overlook shyness, jumping, barking, or other typical small-dog quirks. Give your small dog a little something special.  Give them the chance to shine!

Dogs will be allowed to socialize at the end of each class. Graduates of this class will be ready to move on to our Tricks for Kicks or Intermediate Manners class.

Manners & Impulse Control. Teach your dog to settle, pay attention, sit and stay, down and stay, greet people politely, come when called, and walk nicely on leash.

Communication. Develop a clearer understanding of what dogs try to tell us with their body language that we tend not to see or misinterpret. Learn how to communicate to your dog what you’d like her to do and how to effectively encourage good behaviors and discourage unwanted behaviors.

Socialization. Your small dog will become more comfortable with the classroom, other dogs, and strangers by attending class weekly. We will discuss ways to help your dog feel happy and calm while at your Veterinarian’s office, local pet store, and your neighborhood.

Barking. Learn how to teach your dog to be quiet on cue when the doorbell rings.

House-training. Achieve accident free status with ongoing advice regarding your dog’s potty manners.

A Tired Dog is a Good Dog. Learn about the importance of exercise and enrichment in the prevention of problem behaviors and gain unique ideas to help you keep your dog busy while you are away at school or work.
