*Lollypop Farm applies variable adoption fees to dog adoptions. While we have established a set of standard adoption fees, the fee for a dog may be lower or higher than the fees listed below. Increased fees for highly-desirable dogs help offset the costs associated with caring for dogs who may require more services and additional time at the shelter while waiting for adoption. Thank you for your understanding.

  • Parakeets: $20
  • Common Finch (Zebra & Society Finches): $10
  • Exotic Finch: $20
  • Cockatiels: $60

Requirements for Adoption

Before falling in love with one of our animals, please make sure that you are:

  • At least 21 years of age
  • In possession of a valid photo ID
  • Allowed to have a cat or dog where you live
  • Able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide the training, medical treatment, and proper care for the animal over the course of their life

We strongly recommend the entire family meet the animal you are considering. In some cases we may suggest that adoptable dogs be introduced to dogs already living in the home to ensure the best match.

In addition, please check local ordinances to find out whether your city, town, or village enforces limits on the number of pets in one household.

The Adoption Process

  1. Visit any of our five adoption centers to meet your new best friend! Please be sure to bring your photo ID with you.
  2. Visit the adoption counter to complete an adoption questionnaire. Or print and complete the questionnaire prior to your visit:
  3. Walk through the adoption center to see the adoptable animals and write down the numbers of the pets you want to meet.
  4. When your name is called, you will meet with an adoption counselor to discuss your choices. Also, feel free to ask for recommendations—we may know the perfect pet for you.
  5. Once you have picked the lucky pet who will join your family, you may go home together right away (in most cases)!

A Little Time Makes All the Difference

Please plan on spending at least one hour for the adoption process — we're confident that you'll agree that this small investment of time will be well worth the years of enjoyment that will result from finding "the perfect match."
