Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, is a community-funded nonprofit animal shelter and learning center located in Fairport, NY. It employs over 90 full- and part-time employees with an annual operating budget of $4.5M. Its 140 acre facility shelters a variety of domestic pets and livestock.
One full-time position as a Veterinary Assistant is available. The primary function of the Veterinary Assistant is to assist the veterinarians and technicians by facilitating the effective and efficient operation of the clinic for animal treatment and surgery.
Humane Education Manager
One full-time position as the Humane Education Manager is available. The Humane Education Manager implements programs to impact the quality of life of pets and people in our community in support of the Lollypop Farm mission and strategic goals. Developing and providing programs and activities for all age groups, the Humane Education Manager collaborates with program staff, volunteers, educators, schools, and other nonprofit organizations to educate about all aspects of the human-animal bond.
One full-time position as the Facilities Manager is available. The primary function of the Facilities Manager is to oversee and manage all aspects of facility management including staff, repair projects, preventative maintenance, janitorial functions, fleet management, and construction. The Facilities Manager partners with the COO to achieve the strategy and facility goals of Lollypop Farm and is a member of the organization's Safety Committee.
Adoption Counselor (Full-time)
One full-time position is available as Adoption Counselor. The primary function of the Adoption Counselor is to interface with the public and facilitate animal admissions, care for animals, and aid in the adoption process. (Schedule includes weekends.)
Humane Educator (Part-time)
Lollypop Farm has two part-time (8 hours) positions available as Humane Educator. The primary function of the Humane Educator is to prepare and facilitate humane education programs and community events for children and adults; collaborate in the development and promotion of programs; perform a variety of office work and complete special projects related to humane education and community outreach programs. (Must be able to work a weekend day regularly and be flexible to cover occasional special events.)
Two full time Veterinary Technician positions are available. The primary function is to assist veterinarians in providing surgical and medical care to shelter animals as allowed by licensure.
Clinic Manager (Full-time)
One full-time opening as Clinic Manager is available at Lollypop Farm. The Clinic Manager is responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of the clinic, including the supervision, evaluation, training and performance of all non-exempt clinic staff.
