Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, is a community-funded nonprofit animal shelter and learning center located in Fairport, NY. It employs over 90 full- and part-time employees with an annual operating budget of $4.5M. Its 140 acre facility shelters a variety of domestic pets and livestock.
Behavior & Training Staff
One full-time position is available at Lollypop Farm as a member of the Behavior & Training Staff. The primary function of the Behavior & Training Staff is to support the activities and duties of the behavior department, including: conducting training classes, performing behavioral evaluations and enrichment activities with shelter animals, and providing behavioral counseling to adopters and clients.
One full-time position (40 hrs., including one weekend day) is available for a NYS Licensed Veterinary Technician at Lollypop Farm, Humane Society of Greater Rochester. Become part of the team that provides the medical and surgical care to the 12,000+ animals that come into the shelter annually. Duties include: anesthesia, induction, post op monitoring, communicating with clients. Must be licensed by NYS, able to work independently and have proficient technical abilities. Use your skills to their fullest potential and help make a difference in the lives of these needy animals.
One full-time position is available at Lollypop Farm as a Humane Investigator. The primary function of the Humane Investigator is to investigate complaints alleging animal abuse and make arrest when appropriate.
Individual Giving Manager
One full-time position is available at Lollypop Farm as the Individual Giving Manager. The Individual Giving Manager works closely with and reports to the Manager of Corporate and Foundation Relations and plays an integral role in cultivating, soliciting, and stewarding gifts from individual donors as well as collaborates to increase organizational support.
Lollypop Farm has one full-time opportunity as a Shelter Supervisor. The Shelter Supervisor provides direction to shelter staff, oversees admissions, adoptions and the care of animals, maintains the cleanliness of the animals and interfaces with the public. (Must be available to work one weekend day.)
