Farm Camp FAQs
Q. My child has special needs, an aide, a wheelchair, or might need emergency medicine. Can they come?A. Yes! Lollypop Farm is wheelchair accessible. You will have the opportunity to list special needs on an Emergency form that is sent with your confirmation letter. We have several staff members who are trained in CPR/AED and First Aid. Q. Will the campers get to touch and interact with animals?A. Yes! The children will have multiple opportunities to interact with various animals. We also have a designated “Camp Pet” that will be a small animal such as a rabbit or Guinea pig. All animals will have passed temperament testing. Q. Can I attend camp with my child?A. Parents are not allowed to attend camp with their child. We do not have space available for this. Also, all adults that are a part of camp require background checks. Your child will be sent home with a “Tell Me About Your Day” paper that will list several questions to ask your child about what they did that day at camp. Q. What if my child has allergies?A. Make sure to list your child’s allergies, or other health information about your
camper, on the Camp Emergency Information form. If your child requires medication,
you can send the medicine with your child. The Camp staff cannot administer
medication, but we can remind your child to take medicine. If your child has a severe
allergy or carries an Epipen, please contact the Humane Education Manager in
advance to discuss. If your child has food allergies or other dietary restrictions, you
are welcome to send a snack with your child each day. Feel free to call to discuss what
snacks will be served at Camp. Q. What is your refund policy?A. No refunds for cancellations will be given. However, we will apply that credit towards a different camp session. Q. Do you offer scholarships?A. Sorry, at this time, we can't offer scholarships. However, if grants become available, we will offer scholarships to children who are eligible for the federal lunch program. Q. How many kids attend camp at one time?A. There is a maximum of 30 children. Q. Do you offer before/after care?A. Yes, we offer both. Before care is provided beginning at 8:00am. After care is provided from 4:00-5:00pm. Each is $15 for the entire week. Child care from 12:00- 1:00pm is NOT provided during half-day sessions. Q. When will I know whether my child made it into the camp we selected? How will I be notified?A. If there is availability for the session you have selected, you will receive a confirmation letter through email within a few days. If the session you selected is full, you will be notified via email or phone within 24 hours. Q. Do you offer discounts for families sending more than one child to camp?A. Sorry, no. We do not offer discounts for families sending multiple children to camp. |
