End of Life Services

Losing your pet can be a difficult experience for you and your family. To many, the loss is not only of a pet, but of a very close friend. The decision for final disposition of your pet is a personal choice. Lollypop Farm offers several respectful and compassionate end of life options for your pet.

Euthanasia

While euthanasia services are available through Lollypop Farm, we recommend you use your regular veterinarian for this service, where you can elect to be present at the time the euthanasia is administered. However, Lollypop Farm provides a compassionate and caring euthanasia service that will be done through injection by caring, trained technicians. Please be advised you will not be able to be present with your pet during euthanasia. We ask for a donation of $54 (including tax) to help us with the cost of the service. If you can't afford the fee, we may be able to offer you a reduced rate. Unless you also elect for the cremation service, we are not able to return the remains to you.

When the time is right, please call (585) 223-1330 x275 to make an appointment. We also accept walk-in requests, but we prefer that you attempt to make an appointment.

Cremation

Our deepest sympathies on the loss of your beloved companion. We provide the cremation service for families who wish to keep the remains of their pet. Your pet will receive an individual cremation with its remains carefully packaged and returned to you in a standard container. The cost of cremation is related to the size of your pet, outlined below:

Cats, small animals, and dogs under 25 pounds — $75 plus tax
Dogs 26 to 50 lbs — $97.20 plus tax
Dogs 51 to 100 lbs — $129.60 plus tax
Over 100 lbs — $162.00 plus tax

Please call (585) 223-1330 x275 to make an appointment. We also accept walk-in requests, but we prefer that you attempt to make an appointment.

Columbarium Burial

columbarium

The Nelson A. Lengeman Pet Cemetery, located adjacent to the animal shelter, is the final resting place for hundreds of companion animals. The site is open for quiet reflection and ceremonies. Periodically, a nondenominational animal blessing is held at the cemetery to honor those pets that have passed.

We are no longer offering new in-ground burials, though we do offer the option of having your pet's cremated remains interred in our columbarium. The columbarium is a polished granite structure similar to a mausoleum but intended for cremated remains.

The price for interment is $300 + tax plus the cost of cremation, which includes the container for the ashes as well as a 3" x 5" metal plate inscribed with the pet's name and date that it passed. The niche itself measures 8" x 8" x 10" and should allow the family the option of having one or two pets placed together. If the family chooses this option at some time in the future, the charge will be $100, which includes an updated marker on the niche.
