Lollypop Farm will be closed to the public today, Saturday, October 6, for a precautionary deep clean of our main Fairport location and adoption center at Greece Ridge Mall. As an open-admission organization, we accept all animals surrendered, working with pets with any number of health or behavioral issues. Recently, a number of kittens admitted to the shelter were diagnosed by Lollypop Farm’s veterinary clinic as having feline panleukopenia virus (also known as feline distemper), a highly contagious viral disease that can threaten the life of kittens and cats. Out of an abundance of caution and to ensure these cases remain isolated, we will be closed for an exhaustive cleaning today, Saturday, October 6th at both locations.
