Humane Society of Greater Rochester

In an effort to provide critical services to Rochester-area pet owners, Lollypop Farm held another free pet wellness clinic, this time right at the main shelter in Fairport! Unlike the first vaccination clinic held at Bayden Street Settlement in 2018, this most recent event focused on cat and kitten wellness. Animal care professionals from the organization offered free wellness checks, one-year Rabies vaccines, and Distemper vaccines to cats and kittens of varying ages. Free pet supplies and pet food was available for attendees, as well as information about Lollypop Farm’s outreach programs, spay/neuter services information, and pet behavior tips from professionals at the shelter.

22 cats and kittens benefited from the wellness clinic!

“We’re so happy to have been able to provide free services to these cats!” says Esca Stumpf, Lollypop Farm’s Community Outreach Manager. “Visitors came from all over the community with cats and kittens of all ages, and everyone left with vaccines, a checkup with a veterinarian, and advice for continued wellness plans.”

The Lollypop Farm team spent the afternoon working with the pets and owners – providing the vaccines and wellness checks, handing out supplies where they were needed, making sure all cats were secure and comfortable in carriers. At the end of the day, 22 cats and kittens received essential vaccinations and wellness checks, and many went home with brand new pet supplies! Their owners took with them information about how to keep their pets happy, healthy, and thriving. Funding for this clinic was generously donated in honor of animal lovers Joanne and Dan of Winter Park Florida.
