Schedule an Adoptions Appointment

We are excited to help you find your perfect match. In order to best serve the community and reduce wait times in adoptions, we are STRONGLY encouraging you to please make an appointment to adopt a pet. This will allow us to accommodate as many people as possible while still providing you with great service.

Please fill out the following to reserve an appointment for today to meet with one of our adoption counselors at our main Fairport shelter location. Filling in the information below to the best of your ability will help our counselors to better understand and prep for your individual needs.

Please note:

• Adoption appointments are available on our website each morning at 9:30 a.m. Monday through Friday, and 8:30 a.m. Saturday through Sunday.
  
• Appointments are strongly urged at our main Fairport shelter location. If you choose to come in as a walk-in we will not be able to ensure the staff is available to provide you with timely service. Walk-ins will still be accommodated Monday – Friday and at our satellite adoption locations.
• Please be sure to read pet bio information if there is a particular pet you are interested in meeting to ensure they do not have any specific appointment or adoption requirements.
• To accommodate as many people as possible and still make great matches, adoption appointments are scheduled for 1 hour and adoption counselors will do their best to keep to this schedule. If you are late to your appointment by ten minutes or more, your appointment time slot may be used to accommodate another guest to ensure as many pets as possible find loving homes.

Online scheduling is only available for shelter pets at our main campus located in Fairport. Satellite adoption locations are walk-in only. If you are interested in adopting a farmyard friend or equine please fill out the farmyard friend questionnaire or the equine questionnaire.
