Adopt From Foster FAQs

What does it mean when a pet has the "Adopt From Foster" banner on their profile?

It means that the pet is lucky enough to spend their time in a foster home until they find a family to call their very own! They can be adopted right from their foster home versus having to be here at the shelter.

Where is this pet actually located?

They are in a loving foster home! All pets who have the "Adopt From Foster" banner will need an appointment in order to meet them. Sometimes, pets are met right in their foster home and other times, they are brought back to the shelter for a meet and greet - each situation may be a little different, but you and that pet's point person will work out those details!

How do I meet them/what is the adoption process?

The first step is to fill out the form that will pop up once you click the "Ask About Meeting Me button". From there, one of our staff members will reach out to you with more information about the pet and how to meet them.

Are you interested in helping a pet stay out of the shelter while they wait for an adopter?

We love to hear that! Become a foster volunteer at lollypop.org/foster. You will receive emails letting you know who is eligible for our "Adopt From Foster" program!

Beautiful, beefy, and oh-so-beloved Bonnie is quickly climbing the ladder of favorite dogs around Lollypop Farm! Bonnie came to Lollypop Farm when her family could no longer care for her, and she is looking for a new "leash" on life. Bonnie enjoys all of life's simple pleasures: snacks, snuggles, and soft blankies. Stuffed animal toys are her favorite of all. Bonnie was not thriving with kennel life. She would be found in her kennel sadly moping about, hoping a friend will take her on an adventure, or out to sniff around, or to snuggle. Not many dogs enjoy the kennel, but Bonnie likes to spend as much time out and about as she can, even if the time spent out is lowkey. Thankfully one of our staff members took Bonnie in as a foster, so she is enjoying some great company while waiting for her new family! We think that Bonnie could fit nicely into many homes, as she is a lower energy girl, and walks nicely on a leash. She is eager to join your family...don't delay! Ask one of our adoption consolers to arrange a meeting with Bonnie today!
