Lollypop Farm awarded a grant from the Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA)

Fairport, N.Y. (October 5, 2022) – Lollypop Farm was recently awarded a grant from the Thoroughbred Charities of America (TCA) for the care of Thoroughbred horses in the care of the staff at the Evelyn Z. Diehl Equine Training and Rehabilitation Center at Lollypop Farm.

Grants are given to organizations that help with rehabilitation, rehoming, and retirement programs for Thoroughbred horses, such as Lollypop Farm. “These funds will help us care for all the Thoroughbreds that come to our farm while we search for their new homes,” states Lauren Guerrera Stable Manager at Lollypop Farm. “We are so thankful for the support from the Thoroughbred Charities of America.” Lollypop Farm provides care for numerous equines in the greater Rochester area with programs such as the C.A.R.E. program which helps place retired equines as long-term fosters.

In 2021, nine horses were adopted through Lollypop Farm, with two more going into foster care. Currently, there are 16 horses on the Lollypop Farm campus, with several others in foster care.

A portion of the grant was made possible by The Race to Give, an online giving and aftercare awareness campaign hosted annually by Hagyard Equine Medical Associates.
