Lollypop Farm Receives $10k Grant to Help Senior Dogs Find Homes
Fairport, N.Y. (July 13, 2023) – Senior pets deserve a second chance. Lollypop Farm has received a $10,000 grant from The Grey Muzzle Organization to help fund the Senior for Senior adoption program.
The Senior for Senior program helps place senior pets into loving homes by waiving adoption fees for adopters 60 years of age or older. Lollypop Farm is one of 90 organizations to receive grants to help senior dogs from the Grey Muzzle Organization.
This grant will help senior dogs like Bitzi, a 10-year-old chihuahua that came to Lollypop Farm with bladder stones. Bitzi received the necessary veterinary care to help receive her second chance at finding a new home.
Over the past 15 years, the national nonprofit Grey Muzzle Organization has provided more than $ 4.6 million in grants to support its vision of “a world where no old dog dies alone and afraid.”
“Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we’re delighted to help deserving organizations like Lollypop Farm make a difference in the lives of dogs and people in their communities,” Grey Muzzle’s Executive Director Lisa Lunghofer said. “Many senior dogs in the Rochester area are enjoying their golden years in loving homes thanks to the wonderful work of Lollypop Farm.”
