LOLLYPOP FARM HOSTING “CLEAR THE KENNELS” ADOPTION EVENT JUNE 6-8 TO FIND HOMES FOR DOGS IN NEED

FAIRPORT, N.Y. – With nearly 40 adult dogs currently available for adoption, and many more within the community in need of help, Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, is hosting a “clear the kennels” adoption event at its main campus in Fairport. From Friday, June 6 through Sunday, June 8, all adoptable adult dogs will be available to meet without an appointment during regular adoption hours. In addition, adoption fees for adult dogs will be reduced by 50 percent throughout the weekend.

“We’re committed to finding meaningful connections between our community and the many deserving animals currently in our care,” said Vicky Pape, Director of Animal Placement at Lollypop Farm. “Clear the Kennels is an innovative, proactive approach to streamline the adoption process by removing appointment requirements and offering reduced fees, making it easier than ever for individuals and families alike to welcome a dog into their home. We’re hopeful that people throughout the Greater Rochester region will open their hearts and their homes to these loving companions.”

Upon arrival at Lollypop Farm, each dog is carefully evaluated by expert staff at the Klingenstein Veterinary Clinic. All dogs are fully vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped to ensure they are adoption ready. Throughout the event, adoption staff will be available to assist prospective adopters, provide guidance, facilitate meet-and-greet opportunities, and to answer any questions.

For those unable to make a long-term commitment like adoption, Lollypop Farm also offers a comprehensive foster program. This initiative allows community members to temporarily provide a safe, nurturing environment for animals in need. All necessary supplies, medical care, and support are provided by Lollypop Farm. If you’re interested in becoming a temporary foster care provider, complete the registration form.
