LOLLYPOP FARM HUMANE LAW ENFORCEMENT CHARGES ANNE LINNANE FOLLOWING SEIZURE OF NEARLY 60 DOGS IN ORLEANS COUNTY
FAIRPORT, N.Y. – Following a thorough investigation and the acquisition of nearly 60 dogs, Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, has charged Anne Linnane of Lyndonville, N.Y. with failing to provide proper food and drink to an impounded animal, a misdemeanor under section 356 of New York State Agriculture and Markets law. If convicted, Linnane faces a penalty of up to one year imprisonment and potential fines.
On Monday, March 23, 2026, Lollypop Farm humane investigators were requested by the Orleans County Sheriff’s Office to assist with a welfare check. Upon arrival, and following an initial assessment of the conditions, it was determined that intervention was necessary to ensure the safety and well-being of the animals on the property. The Animal Emergency Response Team was activated to support the operation, including the safe removal of animals, documentation of conditions, and coordination of transport.
Nearly 60 dogs were humanely removed from the home and transported to Lollypop Farm, where they received comprehensive veterinary evaluations and ongoing care.
“Cases like this underscore both the urgency of our mission and the strength of our community,” said Reno DiDomenico, Vice President of Humane Law Enforcement at Lollypop Farm. “Because of the swift action of our humane law enforcement team, who work tirelessly every day to protect and advocate for animals across the Greater Rochester region, and the compassion of our local rescue partners and dedicated foster network, we were able to provide immediate care and a safe path forward for nearly 60 dogs in need. This kind of collaboration is what makes lifesaving work like this possible.”
Lollypop Farm remains dedicated to protecting animals throughout the region and urges community members to report suspected cases of animal cruelty or neglect by calling the Humane Law Enforcement line at (585) 223-6500.
