LOLLYPOP FARM SEEKING HOMES FOR GROWING DOG POPULATION; OFFERS ONE-DAY ADOPTION PROMOTION TO CREATE CRITICAL SPACE

FAIRPORT, N.Y. – Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, is seeking the community’s help in finding loving homes for its growing dog population. Currently, Lollypop Farm is providing care, resources, and safety to nearly 100 dogs with many more in the region waiting and hoping that space and support become available.

For one day only on Thursday, June 25, adoption fees for dogs of all ages, including puppies, will be discounted by 50 percent at Lollypop Farm’s main campus in Fairport. Additionally, standard adoption protocols and procedures will remain in place.

For those unable to make a long-term commitment like adoption, Lollypop Farm also offers a comprehensive foster program. This initiative creates much needed space within the shelter and allows community members to temporarily provide a safe, nurturing environment for animals in need. All necessary supplies, veterinary care, and support are provided by Lollypop Farm. If you’re interested in becoming a temporary foster care provider, complete the registration form.

“We’re quickly approaching our capacity,” said Vicky Pape, Lollypop Farm’s Director of Animal Placement. “Currently, we are providing care for nearly 100 dogs, and we know there are many more in our community that will need our help in the days and weeks ahead. By opening your home to a dog through adoption or our foster program, you’re not only changing that animal’s life, you’re creating space for another dog in need.”

Upon arrival at Lollypop Farm, each dog is carefully evaluated by expert staff at the Klingenstein Veterinary Clinic. All dogs are fully vaccinated, spayed or neutered, and microchipped to ensure they are adoption ready. Throughout the event, adoption staff will be available to assist prospective adopters, provide guidance, facilitate meet-and-greet opportunities, and to answer any questions.
