LOLLYPOP FARM, THE HUMANE SOCIETY OF GREATER ROCHESTER, ANNOUNCES ARRESTS FOLLOWING SEIZURE OF 50 CATS FROM PERINTON HOME
FAIRPORT, N.Y. – Following a thorough investigation, Lollypop Farm Humane Law Enforcement Investigators have announced the arrests of George and Pamela Meyer of 14 Kreag Road, Fairport, N.Y. after seizing 50 cats from their home.
On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, assisted the Town of Perinton and the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office in executing a warrant at 14 Kreag Road.
Upon arriving at the scene and with animal welfare in mind, Humane Law Enforcement Investigators made the determination that conditions required removing the animals from the property. The Lollypop Farm Animal Emergency Response Team was activated and quickly arrived. After assessing the situation, 50 cats were safely removed from the home and transported to Lollypop Farm for complete evaluations and observation.
Both were charged with multiple misdemeanors, including 24 counts of violating New York State Agriculture and Markets law section 353 for torturing and injuring animals and failure to provide adequate sustenance. The pair was also charged with 50 counts of failing to provide proper food and drink to an impounded animal, which violated section 356 of New York State Agriculture and Markets law.
If convicted, each offense carries with it a penalty of up to one year in jail, a fine of up to $1,000, or a combination of the pair.
