LOLLYPOP FARM TO HOST FREE CAT DAY ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 9
FAIRPORT, N.Y. – It’s often said that the best things in life are free and on Thursday, October 9, Lollypop Farm, the Humane Society of Greater Rochester, is giving community members the purrrfect opportunity to experience love, comfort, and companionship during Free Cat Day. Potential adopters are asked to bring their own cat carrier for transportation.
For one day only, adoption fees for adult cats will be completely waived, and kitten adoption fees will be discounted by 50 percent at both Lollypop Farm’s main campus in Fairport and its adoption center at The Mall at Greece Ridge.
“Events like Free Cat Day serve so many purposes,” said Alice Calabrese, President and CEO at Lollypop Farm. “With hundreds of cats currently in our care and countless more in need across our region, this day gives us the chance to unite with our community, place animals in loving homes, and open space for others who rely on our services.”
With large crowds expected, check-in for the event will begin at 9 a.m., and adoptions will take place from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. or until the line reaches capacity.
