We don't mean to break your heart, but Stella has had a tough story. She came us to as a stray in July of last year. After 4 stressful months in the shelter, her previous family stumbled across her profile and came to get her! We thought it was happily ever after, but that unfortunately wasn't the case. After 6 months of being home, Stella was hit by a car, and her family had to face the reality that they could not provide the care or handle the cost of medical care she would need, and Stella came back to us once again.

This was in May, and she's being with us every since, slowly healing and patiently waiting for a family that she can settle into, because as much as we love spending time with her here, we think she deserves to finally get a place to call her own.

Due to her older age, and the car accident, Stella does have some medical matters that she will continue to work through, but we know that there is someone out there who won't let that scare them away, or distract from the fact that she is a truly wonderful dog who has so much love she still wants to give.
