What does it mean when a pet has the "Adopt From Foster" banner on their profile?
It means that the pet is lucky enough to spend their time in a foster home until they find a family to call their very own! They can be adopted right from their foster home versus having to be here at the shelter.
Where is this pet actually located?
They are in a loving foster home! All pets who have the "Adopt From Foster" banner will need an appointment in order to meet them. Sometimes, pets are met right in their foster home and other times, they are brought back to the shelter for a meet and greet - each situation may be a little different, but you and that pet's point person will work out those details!
How do I meet them/what is the adoption process?
The first step is to fill out the form that will pop up once you click the "Ask About Meeting Me button". From there, one of our staff members will reach out to you with more information about the pet and how to meet them.

Patches is a grand, mostly white 10-year-old calico whose motto is simple: admire from afar, peasants. This queenly gal prefers life on her own terms—no scritches, no smothering, no nonsense. Instead, she thrives in quiet kingdoms with cozy hideaway realms where she can rule in peace, judging the world between naps and carefully curated bird videos. She’s happiest in a calm, quiet home without children, and she doesn’t enjoy being pushed to warm up on someone else’s timeline. Give her the space, serenity, and respect she deserves, though, and this regal, independent lady will grace your home with her majestic presence—and maybe even the occasional approving glance… if you’re lucky.
