Adopt From Foster FAQs
What does it mean when a pet has the "Adopt From Foster" banner on their profile?
It means that the pet is lucky enough to spend their time in a foster home until they find a family to call their very own! They can be adopted right from their foster home versus having to be here at the shelter.
Where is this pet actually located?
They are in a loving foster home! All pets who have the "Adopt From Foster" banner will need an appointment in order to meet them. Sometimes, pets are met right in their foster home and other times, they are brought back to the shelter for a meet and greet - each situation may be a little different, but you and that pet's point person will work out those details!
How do I meet them/what is the adoption process?
The first step is to click the "Ask About Meeting Me" button, which will take you directly to this pet's adoption page on Shelterluv. From there, one of our staff members will reach out to you with more information about the pet and how to meet them.

Prepare yourself for lots of big kisses! Diesel (named by a group of Spry Middle School 8th graders!) may be the most loving dog you will ever meet. This handsome senior dog would love nothing more than to be your new weighted blanket and keep you company on the couch! Between his many naps, Diesel enjoys going for leisurely walks, playing with toys, following his foster family around the house, going for rides in the car (especially if a pup cup is involved!), and making everyone laugh with his funny face! This polite gentleman is fully potty-trained and is well-behaved when left home alone without needing a crate. We're not quite sure how he would feel about sharing his home with another animal, so if you have any furry family members already we will help you out with slow introductions to be sure everyone is comfortable. Diesel has never met a human he didn't like, and we're sure you'll like him just as much!
