Adopt From Foster FAQs
What does it mean when a pet has the "Adopt From Foster" banner on their profile?
It means that the pet is lucky enough to spend their time in a foster home until they find a family to call their very own! They can be adopted right from their foster home versus having to be here at the shelter.
Where is this pet actually located?
They are in a loving foster home! All pets who have the "Adopt From Foster" banner will need an appointment in order to meet them. Sometimes, pets are met right in their foster home and other times, they are brought back to the shelter for a meet and greet - each situation may be a little different, but you and that pet's point person will work out those details!
How do I meet them/what is the adoption process?
The first step is to fill out the form that will pop up once you click the "Ask About Meeting Me button". From there, one of our staff members will reach out to you with more information about the pet and how to meet them.
Are you interested in helping a pet stay out of the shelter while they wait for an adopter?
We love to hear that! Become a foster volunteer at lollypop.org/foster. You will receive emails letting you know who is eligible for our "Adopt From Foster" program!
Lola
Lollypop Farm
Her name is Lola and she is quite the show-dog! Lola is a senior gal, technically, but she is full of love and zest for life. She is a spray cheese enthusiast and a champion sniffer, often stopping to investigate her environment with her adorable snout. Lola has enjoyed the finer things in life with our staff members: long walks, snacks, and exploring. She became such a hit that she was welcomed into a loving foster home, where she enjoys snuggle time, walks on the beach, and making new (human) friends. Fun fact: Lola has enjoyed many-a-run with her staff member friend before landing in a foster home. Despite being nine years old, this goofy girl has a personal record of 7 minutes and 38 seconds for a full mile! Lola has learned to play with toys, and she's enjoyed learning new tricks and perfecting old ones: sit, shake, stay, and more. Lola is truly a multi-faceted, wonderful dog that will never fail to surprise and amaze you with her personality, heart and abilities. Her foster reports that she loves to sleep in bed under the covers with her, and reports that she is totally housetrained! Please email her friend Danielle at dmonti@lollypop.org to set up a time to meet with her, as her foster paw-rent would need to bring her in so you can meet with and fall in love with her! If you're interested in the spitting image of Scooby Doo, please inquire about our good buddy Lola! You won't regret it.
