Adopt From Foster FAQs
What does it mean when a pet has the "Adopt From Foster" banner on their profile?
It means that the pet is lucky enough to spend their time in a foster home until they find a family to call their very own! They can be adopted right from their foster home versus having to be here at the shelter.
Where is this pet actually located?
They are in a loving foster home! All pets who have the "Adopt From Foster" banner will need an appointment in order to meet them. Sometimes, pets are met right in their foster home and other times, they are brought back to the shelter for a meet and greet - each situation may be a little different, but you and that pet's point person will work out those details!
How do I meet them/what is the adoption process?
The first step is to fill out the form that will pop up once you click the "Ask About Meeting Me button". From there, one of our staff members will reach out to you with more information about the pet and how to meet them.
Are you interested in helping a pet stay out of the shelter while they wait for an adopter?
We love to hear that! Become a foster volunteer at lollypop.org/foster. You will receive emails letting you know who is eligible for our "Adopt From Foster" program!
Lola
Lollypop Farm
Her name is Lola and she is quite the show-dog! Lola is a timid-at-first but sweet-once-ya-know-her kind of girl. She is a spray cheese enthusiast and a champion sniffer, often stopping to investigate her environment with her adorable snout. Lola is looking for a family that'll be patient while she learns how to "dog" again. Lola lived with her first family all of her life, and was adjusting to a new 'normal' in a shelter setting, which wasn't easy. She made great strides, though and has enjoyed the finer things in life with our staff members: long walks, snacks, and exploring. Fun fact: Lola has enjoyed many-a-run with her staff member friend. Despite being nine years old, this goofy girl has a personal record of 7 minutes and 38 seconds for a full mile! Lola is truly a multi-faceted, wonderful dog that will never fail to surprise and amaze you with her personality, heart and abilities. Lola hasn't shown much interest in playtime with toys just yet, but she is open to learning how! In the meantime, she's enjoyed learning new tricks and perfecting old ones: sit, shake, stay, and more. Lola was lucky enough to land in a foster home recently, and has busted out of the shelter for now! Please email her friend Danielle at dmonti@lollypop.org to set up a time to meet with her. If you're interested in the spitting image of Scooby Doo, please inquire about our good buddy Lola! You won't regret it.
