Snickers is a sweet, gentle girl who loves naps, going for walks, sitting outside, riding in the car, and simply being around her people. Once she settles into a walk, she is very easy to handle on leash and is happy to go any distance. She is also friendly with other dogs and rarely barks.

Snickers has a playful side, too. She loves rolling around on her blanket and army-crawling across the floor. She isn’t particularly interested in toys, but the upside is that she isn’t destructive. The only time she really plays with a toy is when she gets the zoomies after we come home. She also loves sitting nearby and cuddling with her favorite person on the couch.

Snickers is still a little nervous around new people, but she warms up when they are calm and give her space rather than leaning over her. She has met several children during her time in foster, and did well with them when they were gentle and understood that she needed to take things slowly during the initial interaction. Talk about a superstar! In the words of her foster, "Once she gets to know you, she absolutely enjoys plenty of pets and belly rubs."

More information, straight from her foster family: "Snickers has been very good about going potty outside when we take her out and give her the cue to go. She is potty trained, although she may have an accident or two while initially settling into a new home. She doesn’t seem to know any basic verbal commands, but she is still a very well-mannered dog. She doesn’t beg for food or jump up on people, and she is crate-trained at night. We are also comfortable leaving Snickers loose in the house, outside of her crate, when we need to leave for a couple of hours during the day."

Overall, Snickers is a gentle, affectionate, easygoing girl who enjoys the simple things in life: walks, car rides, lounging outside, cuddling, and being close to her people. She may need a little time and patience to feel comfortable with new people, but once she trusts you, she has plenty of love to give.
