Adopt From Foster FAQs
What does it mean when a pet has the "Adopt From Foster" banner on their profile?
It means that the pet is lucky enough to spend their time in a foster home until they find a family to call their very own! They can be adopted right from their foster home versus having to be here at the shelter.
Where is this pet actually located?
They are in a loving foster home! All pets who have the "Adopt From Foster" banner will need an appointment in order to meet them. Sometimes, pets are met right in their foster home and other times, they are brought back to the shelter for a meet and greet - each situation may be a little different, but you and that pet's point person will work out those details!
How do I meet them/what is the adoption process?
The first step is to fill out the form that will pop up once you click the "Ask About Meeting Me button". From there, one of our staff members will reach out to you with more information about the pet and how to meet them.
Are you interested in helping a pet stay out of the shelter while they wait for an adopter?
We love to hear that! Become a foster volunteer at lollypop.org/foster. You will receive emails letting you know who is eligible for our "Adopt From Foster" program!
Bear
Lollypop Farm
If teddy bears aren't cutting it anymore, we've got a better Bear for you to cuddle! Bear is a 61 lb French Bulldog mix with big adorable ears. He's unfortunately had to have multiple eye surgeries while staying with us at the shelter, but he can see so much better now! Bear loves spending time around people, and will happily show off his squeaky toys to his human friends. This silly boy will give you tons of wiggles while asking for pets! He also is a great walking companion. One of the greatest qualities about this squat man is that he can likely thrive in almost any home. He has a great history with both dogs and cats! We are optimistic that he would be fine around older children, as long as they understand that he doesn't like to share his toys. One of his favorite things in life after all is toys, but he is very good at trading! Bear simply can't bear another day without you. Please consider giving him a home! You can reach out to his agent Hannah at hhecht@lollypop.org to arrange a meeting.
