Saturn was brought to Lollypop Farm in late February with a right hind leg that was clearly out of place, and he refused to put any weight on it. After taking radiographs, the team at the Klingenstein Veterinary Clinic discovered that both bones in Saturn’s leg were fractured. He was immediately started on pain medication to help keep him comfortable.
To give Saturn the best chance at healing, he underwent surgery to stabilize the fractures. A pin was placed to hold the bones in proper alignment, allowing them to heal correctly. The procedure went smoothly, and Saturn showed his gratitude with his gentle, affectionate demeanor.

While his body heals, Saturn’s care team is making sure his mind stays active, too. From treats tucked into snuffle mats to play sessions with wand toys and catnip-covered enrichment, each day brings small moments of joy. These activities help prevent boredom and reduce stress as he recovers at Lollypop Farm, waiting for the day he’s ready to find a loving new home.
Saturn’s journey, and so many others like his, is made possible thanks to donors like you. Hopefully, Saturn’s next trip around the sun will bring him closer to his new family.
