Community Care Alert
Lollypop Farm was called to rescue 136 animals from a trailer and surrounding property in Livingston County. Our Humane Law Enforcement and Shelter teams transported the 39 rabbits, 24 chickens, 22 gerbils, 19 domestic birds, 18 ducks, 6 turkeys, 5 dogs, 2 hamsters, and 1 turtle back to Lollypop Farm.
We need you now more than ever to ensure these animals are able to receive the veterinary care and clean housing they so desperately need. Many animals were found in unkept conditions and suffering from a variety of untreated ailments.
Care for these animals will take time, space, and resources. You can make a huge difference in what happens next for these scared and displaced pets.
Foster A Pet
We’ve set up temporary housing for the rabbits, gerbils, birds, and hamsters in our Terrence B. McIntee Training and Education Center, as the remainder of our small animal housing, is full. Many of these small pets will need extra time and attention before they can be adopted.
Fostering a pet in your home helps provide these neglected animals the gentle care they need to recover and stops overcrowding at Lollypop Farm. We’ll provide you with the supplies and information you need to help these pets return to health and get ready for their second chance.
Are you willing to foster a small fluffy friend in need?
