In Case of Emergency

Please call our Adoptions Team at 585-223-1330 x212. Let them know you are returning with the dog and for what reason. They will provide you with instructions on how and where to bring the dog back. Please read below to view examples of emergencies.

Examples of emergencies:

  • Bite (to yourself, another person, another animal, or themselves)
  • Difficulty or shallow breathing
  • Frequent and/or persistent diarrhea
  • Ingestion of something hazardous or toxic
  • Vomiting combined with lethargy
  • Swelling of the face or eyes
  • Prolapsed rectum
  • Swollen or broken limbs
  • Seizures
  • Sudden disorientation or loss of coordination
