Did you notice that Marcus is giving you the true "puppy dog eyes" look in his photo? That's because he's hoping you might be the one to offer him a wonderful new home.

Marcus is a happy, energetic boy. He loves playing - toys and bones are always a big hit - but he also likes to hang with his people. And when it's time to take a crate break he walks right in and settles down like a pro. He walks nicely on a harness and leash, and he's already learned to sit on command. He's very motivated by treats, petting and praise, which means he'll be a fun dog to train to obey even more commands and maybe do a trick or two.

Marcus hasn't really spent any time around children, but we think he'd do fine with children who are at least twelve years old. We'd like to have him meet the whole family here at the shelter before he goes home, so you can bring everyone with you or meet him yourself first, then make an appointment to bring everyone else in.

Marcus isn't a fan of other animals, though. He definitely needs to be the only pet in your home so he can enjoy all your love. You'll be rewarded with all his love in return, though, and what could be better than that?
