When Lucky arrived at Lollypop Farm, the adorable black cat could barely open his eyes. Thick discharge streamed from both eyes due to a painful condition called entropion, where the eyelids roll inward and cause the skin and fur to rub against the surface of the eye. Left untreated, entropion can lead to severe irritation, infection, and even permanent damage to the eye.
The veterinary team at the Klingenstein Veterinary Clinic scheduled surgery to correct both eyelids and finally give Lucky some relief. The procedure went very well, and afterward, Lucky was placed in a quiet office space while he recovered.

Given all that Lucky had been through, he was very timid even in the quiet office. He would hide under a bench, tucking himself away. But the staff was patient with him, giving him the space and time he needed to start coming out of his shell. Little by little, he would come out more often. Now, he is happy to lounge across feet and lean into pets. His eyes are also able to open more and more, so he can see the world around him again.
Lucky is still healing, and he will soon be able to find a home of his own, thanks to compassionate donors like you.
