A Welcome Home Puppy/Kitten lesson is a great choice for you! The first days and weeks that you have a new puppy or kitten can be very important for building the right habits and behaviors. Meet 1-on-1 with one of our behavior professionals to address any concerns you might have, to create your training goals, or to find out how to raise a confident and well-adjusted cat or dog. We’ll create a specialized training plan just for your pet! Below are some topics that may be addressed.Puppies:
- Encouraging appropriate play/chewing
- Staying calm in exciting situations
- Greeting family and visitors politely
- Socializing to a variety of people, other dogs, sounds, the car, etc.
- Training husbandry behaviors: nail trimming, ear cleaning, vet visits, etc.
- Puppy proofing the house
- Enrichment feeding and providing energy outlets
- House-training and confinement training
Kittens:
- Kitten proofing
- Encouraging appropriate play/scratching
- Socializing to new people, animals, cars, carriers, vet visits etc.
