Humane Society of Greater Rochester

Over the last week, our community has been flooded with news about the COVID-19 pandemic and how it may affect our families, neighbors, and loved ones. In such an uncertain time, we want you to know we are still here.

The Rochester community is strong and continues to come together to keep everyone safe. This includes our community’s pets in need.

While Lollypop Farm does its part to slow the spread of this dangerous virus, we want to assure you we are still doing what we can to help injured, abused, and homeless pets. Hundreds of pets in need of critical care are being supported by our veterinary clinic, shelter team, and foster care volunteers. As people struggle with caring for their families, Lollypop Farm’s Pet Food Pantry continues to offer supplies during this time of crisis. Our Humane Law Enforcement Department is still investigating animal crimes and coming to the aid of abused pets in our community.

Over the past week, we’ve celebrated pets finding loving new homes, including Pete. This sweet senior had been waiting since October to find his family. Over a thousand people from our community came together to share his story across social media and find him a home.

You made sure, in this time of uncertainty, pets like Pete would still get the second chance they deserve. Thank you.

Having had to postpone programs, cancel fundraising events, and turn away donation items from our wish list, we’ve had many people reach out to ask how they can help. We could not be more grateful for your kindness and compassion during this time.

Here are the best ways you can help pets at Lollypop Farm:

Lollypop Farm has been helping Rochester’s pets in need for over 140 years. We have been through a lot. And I know we will get through this together.
